房新文总领事向领区各界人士致以新年祝福（图）

“岁月不居，时节如流”。在2025年新年即将来临之际，我谨代表中国驻墨尔本总领馆，向领区各界人士致以诚挚的新年祝福！

2024年是我到任履新后的第一年，喜逢中华人民共和国成立75周年、习近平主席对澳大利亚进行国事访问暨中澳建立全面战略伙伴关系十周年。这一年，中国驻墨尔本总领馆同大家一起走过，共同迎来了一个又一个“好消息”，共同经历了一个又一个美好时刻。

这一年，我们见证了中国共产党二十届三中全会擘画中国进一步全面深化改革的宏伟蓝图，中国高质量发展和高水平对外开放扎实推进，中国特色大国外交开创新局面，中国式现代化迈出新的坚实步伐。

这一年，我们见证了习近平主席会见澳大利亚总理阿尔巴尼斯、李强总理正式访澳，中澳双边各领域对话重启，澳优质产品先后重返中国市场，双方各领域务实合作有序推进，中澳关系在巩固、发展基础上实现全面转圜。

这一年，我们见证了领区维多利亚州州督加德纳、副州长卡罗尔、塔斯马尼亚州州长洛克利夫访华，双方团组互访频繁，中国继续保持两州第一大贸易伙伴地位，人文交流和双向人员往来蓬勃开展，地方交流合作方兴未艾，领区对华合作展现新气象、迈上新台阶。总领馆同各界人士一道，全力落实李强总理访澳成果及两国领导人达成的重要战略共识，隆重庆祝习近平主席访问塔斯马尼亚州暨中澳建立全面战略伙伴关系十周年，为推动领区对华合作和中澳关系发展作出了应有贡献。

在此，我谨代表中国驻墨尔本总领馆，向关心支持中澳关系发展、领区对华合作及总领馆工作的各界人士表示衷心感谢！

新的一年里，我将继续带领总领馆的同事们，以时不我待的紧迫感，与维州、塔州州市政府及领区各界人士携手并肩，深入推进领区对华关系发展及中澳友好，共同开创领区对华合作和中澳关系更加美好的未来！

Chinese Consul General Xinwen Fang’s 2025 New Year Message

 "Time waits for no man, and the seasons keep changing." As we usher into 2025, on behalf of the Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne, I would like to extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to friends of all walks of life in the state of Victoria and Tasmania.

2024 is my first year in Melbourne as Chinese Consul General. It coincides with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, 10th anniversary of Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Australia and the establishment of the China-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. In 2024, we have received “good news” one after another and experienced numerous “memorable moments” together.

We have witnessed the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China drawing up a grand blueprint for further comprehensively deepening reform, the steadily advancement of China's high-quality development and high-level opening-up, major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics breaking new ground. China has taken solid steps toward the Chinese modernization.

We have witnessed the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Chinese Premier Li Qiang's official visit to Australia.  Bilateral dialogues across various fields have resumed, and cooperation has become the mainstream. China-Australia relations have achieved a comprehensive turnaround on the basis of consolidation and development.

We have witnessed the visits led by the Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Deputy Premier of Victoria, Hon. Ben Carroll and Premier of Tasmania, Hon. Jeremy Rockliff to China. China continues to be the largest trading partner of the two states. People-to-people and cultural exchanges have experienced substantial growth. Sub-national cooperation has maintained strong momentum. Bilateral cooperation has reached to a new height. Together we firmly implemented the strategic consensus reached by the two countries' leaders and outcomes of Premier Li’s visit, grandly celebrated the 10th  anniversary of President Xi Jinping's visit to Tasmania and the establishment of the China-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, so as to contribute to the China-Victoria, China-Tasmania cooperation and the development of China-Australia relations.

Here I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all friends who support the development of China-Australia relations, China-Victoria and China-Tasmania cooperation and the work of the Consulate General.

In the new year, I and my colleagues will continue to work with state government, local councils, and all good friends to further promote our relationship and jointly create a brighter future for the China-Australia relations!
