China Brand Day 2024: How Guangdong Showcases Innovation and Global Impact

"China Brand, Global Share." China Brand Day 2024 is taking place in Shanghai, with the spotlight shining on the Guangdong Pavilion and Zhongshan Pavilion, showcasing the continuous pursuit of technological innovation by Guangdong brands. The two pavilions together, with a record-breaking exhibition area of nearly 500 square meters and over a hundred brands from Guangdong bringing their most representative products, demonstrate how companies from Guangdong are contributing greatly to shaping the future of innovation in China and beyond.

The standout feature of the Guangdong Pavilion is its emphasis on "new quality productive forces". The pavilion showcases a diverse range of brands in fields such as commercial aerospace, low-altitude economy, deep-sea development, life sciences, and artificial intelligence.

The low-altitude economy, a representative of new quality productive forces, promises vast development prospects. EH216-S, developed independently by EHang, obtained China's Civil Aviation Administration's Type Certificate in 2023, marking the world's first unmanned aerial vehicle airworthiness certificate.

Tianxing He, Vice President of Guangzhou EHang Intelligent Technology, expressed enthusiasm about participating in China Brand Day for the first time since receiving the airworthiness certificate. He emphasized the event's role in showcasing the consumer, brand, green energy, and technological values of the low-altitude economy and new quality productive forces to the public.

He also highlighted the potential for the Greater Bay Area's low-altitude economy to become a core competitive force in innovative development and future green travel. Continuously exploring the skies and advancing towards sustainability, the low-altitude economy is increasingly integrated into public life. "The product we are showcasing today will also see extensive applications in urban public transport aerial tours, emergency rescue, and transportation connections," noted Tianxing He.

This year marked Zhongshan's first independent exhibition themed 'Hometown of Great Men, GBA’s Famous City.' Zhongshan, a pivotal city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area located at the mouth of the Pearl River, is renowned for its beauty and as a livable manufacturing city.

With over 30 years of commitment, Zhongshan has earned the reputation of "Bay Area's Optical Valley"and has been rapidly advancing in the field of photoelectricity. SIRUI Optics has been a representative enterprise in Zhongshan's photoelectric optical industry.

Guangdong's economic output surpassed 13 trillion yuan in 2023, maintaining its first-place ranking in the country for 35 consecutive years. With over 1.8 million market entities, including a significant number of high-tech and large-scale industrial enterprises, Guangdong continues to lead China's economic landscape.
